Types of businesses that require Asbestos Awareness training
If your business employs the following staff categories, then training is required;
Maintenance workers, electricians, plumbers, joiners, painters & decorators, construction workers, roofers, shop fitters, gas fitters, heating and ventilation engineers, demolition workers, telecommunication engineers, fire/burglar alarm installers, computer and data installers, architects, building surveyors (HSE)

- The properties of asbestos and its effect on health
- Health risk factors
- Types, uses and likely occurrence of asbestos and asbestos materials in buildings and plant
- General procedures to deal with an asbestos emergency
- How to avoid the risk of exposure to asbestos (HSE).
Method of Assessment
Students will be assessed by a multiple choice question paper. On successful completion a certificate will be provided.
